Oh yeah :D

Thanks ebay for providing me with the means to be the ultimate nerd! Hopefully this is on my wrist in a few weeks....oooh I'm so excited.

Locked Down...

So I have found a place. It's called Castello Tower. Condo/Unit Specs: Located on 12th Ave and 5th St SW, 18th Floor, north facing, 2 bedroom (1113 sq. ft), estimated time of completion is April 2008.

The place is pretty nice (judging from the show suite) and the best part is that I didn't have to upgrade much (if any) for it to look that way. I have ten days (starting today) to review the contract and the paper work and within these ten days I have to decide whether or not I want to keep it.

I'm going to the lawyer tomorrow to have him read the fine print. Hopefully it is all legit and the people building Castello aren't trying to pull a fast one on me. Anyways you can check it out here www.castello.ca make sure to look at the pictures of the swank units.

Congrats!!!!

Congratulations on the job offer Andrew. It took quite awhile but it finally came through.....way to go man!

Strippers and Alchol are on me!

First Day...

I have been taking my brother to the FLC for swimming lessons this past week and while sitting and watching him I thought that my time would be better spent if I worked out while he was attending his lessons. So I went and inquired about a pass and to my surprise I was able to receive a 15% discount off of my pass for being a part of my community association...score! So I hit up a pass yesterday and today was my first day of working out. Wow was it ever tiring after I was done. I haven't worked out in about 4 years (but I have been playing sports regularly during that time) and it sure showed when I was struggling to stay on the bike after 7 minutes! I managed to stay on the bike for 20 minutes, which isn't bad for my goal of 30 minutes. I'll reach 30 minutes of non-stop biking by next Friday :D

The plan is to go at least 3-5 times a week and working out for an hour max. I hope I can stick to it when school rolls around again...but an hour out of my day doesn't seem bad at all, so I know I can do it!

I'm hoping to see some results by Christmas!

P.S. Congrats to my brother for finishing level 2 today! Onwards to level 3 next week!

How geeky am I?

I am so geeky that I bought a plastic screen protector for my cell phone screen from ebay last week and was super happy when it came in the mail two days ago. Now all I need is to get that Calculator watch of mine :D

P.S. I have totally been slacking on blogging these past two weeks but I will try to write a few today (I hope).

Busy Busy Bee

I am so busy of late that I haven't been able to really update this blog with the normal useless/random posts of mine(so useless and random that blogger flagged my blog as a spam blog awhile back).

Busy with what? Well I am trying to find some property in this city, one to live in and one for an investment to make some income. I've been looking at new condos, new homes, old homes, and old condos. Some are appealing to me (in the sense of looks, size and location) but the prices are so steep that it makes me wonder if I would make any money from the property. Questions about Calgary's real estate market always linger in my mind. I always ask myself if this economy will keep on going and when the real estate market will plateau. And how will I find the answer? By watching and wating I suppose. But I hope I don't wait too long, any longer and I won't be able to get a foot in this market! Oh the joy of Calgary Real estate ;)

Well Good luck to me.

Superman is a Dick!

With Superman Returns just released a few weeks ago I thought that this would be a pretty funny site to visit. It's a site that has all the funny Superman comic covers. I had a blast going through them as I couldn't beleive how much of a prick/dick Superman was back in the day. Check it out here. Here's also a little example of what I mean.

Mariah, She's on fire...

Well I tried to make it a surprise for Tuyet, but it seems that she is a super sleuth (detective for all you dumb asses) and figured out that I was taking her to the Mariah Carey Concert this September 25, 2006. I hope its a good show. I think the tour will be for her "Emancipation of Mimi" CD (which is actually a very good album). But I'm hoping she also does all her good stuff from her older albums such as Butterfly, Day Dream and her self titled album Mariah Carey (let's just forget about glitter).

Sweet sweet fantasy baby...

Calgary Stampede 2006

When are you going to the Stampede this year? I will be hitting it up with Tuyet this weekend most likely. Why so late? Well I will be helping my Dad install hardwood on Saturday so I will most likely be going on the very last day of Stampede (Sunday July 16th). And most of this week will be spent prepping the upstairs for the hard wood (stripping of carpet, pulling out of staples, moving of furniture, etc.)I was thinking I might go sometime during this week with my brother for a bit though (maybe wednesday or thursday). It's really too bad that the one year I decide not to take a Summer course I am stuck with helping doing home renovations...boourns! At least I won't miss the Stampede completely (or so I hope not).

So I'll end this thread with a picture of the "talent" seen at the Stampede from year to year. (The Stampede grounds are notorious for the "talented" and not so "talented" girls). Click here for talent!

Kirby!

Time goes by so fast, it feels like only a while back she was 16! Now she is a Sunshine girl! God I'm old...Yee haw!!!

P.S. Kirby, aren't those my brother's shorts when he was 4? :P

Just got back!

Well I just got back from a surprise trip to the West Edmonton Mall Fantasyland Hotel with Tuyet, and what a great trip it was. The trip involved a lot of water ...a LOT of water, Bourbon Street and Shopping. More about my trip here!

Happy Canada Day!

You know what bothers me about Canada Day? It's the fact that no one in this country seems to care about it. When you go out on the streets it seems like any other day. Actually its a lot more quiet than usual because people have all gone away on vacation to take advantage that usually follows Canada Day. Anyone been in the States on the 4th of July? It's nothing like this. Nationalism is rampant everywhere. Even the illegal immigrants wave the Star's and Stripes with glee. All I am saying is that I would sometimes like to see more Canadian pride on a day like today instead of seeing it when it is because of a hockey game.

Anyways... Happy Canada Day!!!
