9 holes...

..are the number of holes in my body (and yes I did count just to make sure). Actually I went and played my first round of golf in a very long time. The last time I played I still worked at Precision and Special K came out and played with Andrew and I. So that would be in the fall of 2002. My first hole was a complete bunk so we all agreed to scratch that hole (I lost 3 balls on the first course!). But after that I played probably the best golf I have ever played since I first stepped onto a golf course. I actually got par on a hole and had a few bogies on a couple of other holes! My long game wasn't very good but my short game wasn't bad at all. I chipped one super close to the hole as well (it looked like it hit close to the lip of the cup). Anyways I can't wait to get another round in sometime soon!

P.S. my score was 41 on a par 30 (8 holes haha). Perhaps next time I go for 9 holes I can get a 41 on all 9 holes!

DTP: This past weekend

Well I wasn't able to go to the car show this past weekend at the Olympic Oval but from the pictures and the cars there it looked like a great show. You can check out the pictures that are in this thread by clicking here. I think I will check out the next one in Edmonton on July 8th, or perhaps the one in Vancouver (ooooh road trip!).

Cars

I went out and saw the new Pixar/Disney movie Cars with the girl friend last night and I must say that the partnership between those two companies has yet to disappoint me. The movie was clever, witty and funny with the typical disney cheesey ending. And in the end I left the theatre feeling that it was money well spent. Definitely check it out if you have the chance. It's definitely better than the load of crap that X3 was.

Duhhhh.

I cannot believe that I have been using this dashboard for so long and I just found out how to post pictures using blogger. It's so easy, it's so simple yet I was never aware of it. In the beginning I would upload pictures to a server that I had then I would host the images on that server. Then I found out about the Hello and Picasa programs for Windows and have used that since to host pictures on my blog. And all I had to do was this:

Duhhhhh.

del.icio.us?

If you have visited my page recently you have seen the sidebar section (on the right) that is dedicated to "my del.icio.us links". What is this nonsense you might ask? Well I don't know how to really explain it, but I will try. But before I try I will post what del.icio.us wrote:

What is del.icio.us?

del.icio.us is a collection of favorites - yours and everyone else's. Use del.icio.us to:

* Keep links to your favorite articles, blogs, music, restaurant reviews, and more on del.icio.us and access them from any computer on the web.
* Share favorites with friends, family, and colleagues.
* Discover new things. Everything on del.icio.us is someone's favorite - they've already done the work of finding it. Explore and enjoy.

So basically after I register an account at del.icio.us, I then add a "tag" button on my browser. I click this tag button whenever I reach a web page of interest. This lets me save it in a list that everyone can see if they access "my del.icio.us link" page. This also shares the link to other users on del.icio.us as well. The links you see on the sidebar is a service they offer that lets you see my most current tagged links. I think its rather neat. Its basically your bookmarks, but shared with everyone else!

Access Toyota + no haggling = No more bargains

Here's a link to a pretty interesting article regarding Toyota's Access "no haggling" program. The reason I'm linking this is that I've been helping Tuyet buy a new car and she was specifically looking for a Toyota Yaris. After dealing with shady dealers and stealerships we got pretty fed up and most likely will not deal with Toyota Canada, perhaps Toyota USA if they don't go by this BS Access program. Read for yourself (I know its from 2003 but it is still interesting).

What is Hasboro thinking?

Judge for yourself after watching this commercial for the Oozinator. What genius at Hasboro thought shooting white slimey goo by pumping a penis like pump to be appropriate?

"........major pumping required".
